3 Ways You Can CONQUER the Scavenger Hunt with Family and Friends

The scavenger hunt is all about having fun (and winning free art)!

What better way to dominate the scavenger hunt than with friends and family? Let’s face it, when you have a great team supporting you and having fun – you are already a winner.

Here are 3 tips on how you can make this year’s scavenger hunt awesome!

1. Rally the troops early!

Yeah, people are busy  – so it’s up to you to tell your team about the scavenger hunt. Let them know how FUN it will be to figure out clues and explore new places in town. Once they realize that they have an adventure waiting for them this weekend, they will mark their calendars and be ready to OWN this scavenger hunt.

2. Prepare your team for speed!

Scavenger hunts are all about speed. You must quickly figure out the clues and move! Encourage your team to review the site where the clues will be posted. Also, have a Google map of Rochester ready to go! And make sure you have gas in the car! (Last year there was this one team that didn’t check the gas…before they left….and I got a phone call……so awkward…..)

3. Focus on having fun!

Yes, we all know winning is cool and you get bragging rights. But what about that awesome moment during the scavenger hunt when you are working with your family and friends to figure out a clue? That fun car ride/walk/run as you race together to get to the correct location? The fantastic opportunity to share a new place in Rochester with the people you love?

Remember: Whenever you find a work of art, your name will be entered for a grand prize. With teams, only 1 name can be entered!

The first clue will be posted Friday, August 22. For more details, click HERE.

The object of the game is to find the missing art work using the clues provided

You must send me a picture of the drawing to prove that you found it – the picture can be sent to me via email or Facebook

The first person to find the missing sketch is allowed to keep it

People are allowed to work in teams to find the sketch, but there is only 1 drawing at each location

If people work as a team, they must decide on one person to be eligible for the additional surprise

If you need additional clues, you must wait 24 hours after the initial post before asking for more support

Any additional clues will be posted on the blog and Facebook for everyone to see

You will have to interact with strangers (shop owners/employees) – please be respectful and kind

Always stay safe and use healthy judgment when out and about on a scavenger hunt

All participants must be respectful towards other participants

No breaking any laws!
