Weddings seem to be a series of moments. They can be chaotic, beautiful, frustrating, silly…but they all come together to create one amazing day. This pencil drawing of a smiling bride and groom captures one of those moments. Standing side by side, both smiling, eyes cast down. It’s a moment of joy shared between one beautiful couple.

The bride who ordered this portrait wanted a special memento from her special day. A one-of-a-kind work of art inspired from some photos. I used artistic license to create a compelling composition. In the original photo the groom was much further away. I thought I’d bring this couple closer together to share in their joy. Also, the original photo was kind of blurry (much to the bride’s chagrin). So I sharpened the image and added details (taken from other photos that she sent me).
